5-Day MCAT Strategy Intensive

5-Day MCAT Strategy Intensive · free

You don't have a content problem.

If your test is in the next two to four months and your full-lengths keep bouncing around — 502, then 499, then 504 — more content isn't the fix. Nobody taught you what the test is actually asking you to do. That's what these five days are for.

Start with the diagnostic

Fifteen minutes of real questions first, so Day 1 starts from your actual score. You join the Intensive from your results page. No card.

“As a non-traditional applicant who has had to take the MCAT a few times, IFD is the only study resource that has truly clicked with my brain.”

It's not that you're lazy. It's that your system's bad.

Almost everybody stuck at a 500 is working. Some of you are working more than the people scoring above you. The fix everybody hands you is more content — more flashcards, a different book, another pass through biochem. You've probably tried that. It didn't move the number.

The MCAT isn't hiding information from you. It gives you most of what you need inside the passage and checks whether you can pick it up and use it while a clock runs. That's a skill. Nobody taught it to you, and it's the whole five days.

Structure beats vibes every single time on this test.

Exactly what happens

About an hour a day. Call it six hours all in. Day 5 is the long one.

  1. Day 1

Know the Test, Then Take It

What this test actually measures. Then real questions, cold, before anyone teaches you anything. It'll feel bad. That's the point.

    75 min
  2. Day 2

    Breaking Down CARS

Condense to Main Idea. A full AAMC passage worked on camera, including the second-guessing. Then two of your own, timed.

    60 min
  3. Day 3

    Breaking Down Science Passages

The Flowchart Method. Pull out the basic sciences and the relationships, ignore the rest. Then two passages of your own.

    60 min
  4. Day 4

    How to Actually Learn Content

Recognition isn't application. High yield first, and test yourself instead of re-reading. Two drills to prove it to yourself.

    50 min
  5. Day 5

Review Your Mistakes, Then Build Your Week

The Mistake Log: how to review a missed question so it stops happening. Then you build next week's schedule from scratch. The long one.

    100 min

Every day has a drill in our question bank. Real questions, timed. Watching us do this does nothing for your score. Doing it does.

This isn't for everybody

If you're already scoring 512, this isn't the right starting point. Have a look at our more advanced courses instead — start with UWorld x IFD Mastery.

If your test is next week, skip this too. Five days of new strategy right before a test is a bad idea.

This is built for people around 490 to 505, testing in two to four months, working hard and watching the number not move. If that's you, that's exactly who this is for.

Who's teaching it

John — plastic surgery resident, 90th percentile on the MCAT. Before that he failed this test three times. CARS was the worst part of all three attempts, and boiling it down until it fit in his brain is what turned into the strategies in this course.

Maggie — anesthesia resident, 100th percentile (526) on her first try. She was a professional MCAT tutor before med school.

We built this for the students who can't buy their way to a good score. That was us.

How it works

  1. 1
Take the diagnostic. Fifteen minutes of real MCAT questions. You get a score range and what's keeping you from your target.
  2. 2
Say yes on your results page. That's the whole sign-up. Day 1 opens right away, and the five lessons arrive by email, one a day.
  3. 3
Do the drills. You get two weeks in our question bank to do them. Real passages, timed, from Day 1.

How it ends

On Day 5 we offer you a free fifteen-minute call with Damon. He'll look at your test date and your score and tell you whether our paid program is right for you. If it isn't, he'll say so and point you somewhere better. He does that a lot. The five days are yours either way. You don't have to buy anything from us, ever.

Five days. Then you'll know what to open first tomorrow morning.

Most people who sign up for something free don't finish it. If you show up and do the work for five days, you will be better at this test on Friday than you are right now. Not because we're magic. Because you'll finally be spending your hours on the right things.

Free. Yours to keep.
